Mensa of Western Washington (MWW) is a Local Group of American Mensa, which in turn is a national member of Mensa International, a society that is apolitical and free from all racial or religious distinctions. We welcome people from every walk of life whose IQs are in the top 2% of the population.
Mensa of Western Washington exists to
- Identify and foster human intelligence for the benefit of humanity through scholarships, gifted children’s programs, and other supportive activities
- Encourage research into the nature, characteristics, and uses of intelligence
- Provide a stimulating intellectual and social environment for its members
MWW, founded in 1965, currently has more than 1,000 members and is one of the top ten largest Local Groups of the 124 Local Groups throughout American Mensa. Major cities in our group include Seattle, Tacoma, Bellevue, Everett, Bellingham, Olympia, Bremerton, Port Angeles, and Aberdeen. Ours is a fun, active group in a spectacular setting of majestic mountains, lush greenery, serene lakes, breathtaking ocean vistas, and the incomparable Puget Sound.
Our members enjoy a variety of frequent MWW activities throughout the area. These activites are posted in our Monthly Newsletter, ToteMs, on our private Facebook page, and on Mensa Connect. The calendar portion of this public site lists general event information and those events which are open to the public / prospective members.
